Scenario Based Leadership Training – Coming Soon (And Free)

Watch this space! Coming soon to South Florida we will be hosting a monthly Scenario Based Leadership Training for Line Managers and Directors. We are still working on the format and the venue.

Scenario Based Training is a revolutionary training method used by the airlines and the armed services which places people in real-world scenarios for training so they can learn rapidly. A good example: Consider you are working to get your Pilot’s Certificate. Each day you go to the airport and:

  • Pre-flight Your Airplane: 30 Minutes
  • Taxi your aircraft: 5 Minutes
  • Takeoff to Pattern Altitude: 5 Minutes
  • Land (This is what you need to practice): 5 Minutes
  • Takeoff to Pattern Altitude: 5 Minutes
  • Land (This is what you need to practice): 5 Minutes
  • Takeoff to Pattern Altitude: 5 Minutes
  • Land (This is what you need to practice): 5 Minutes
  • Taxi your aircraft: 5 Minutes
  • Park: 5 Minutes

15 Minutes of actual training for 1 hour and 15 minutes investment in training. Airlines, recognizing this, place their pilot’s in simulators and the pilots do not practice routine events the pilots practice complex and rare emergencies. The movie Apollo 13 demonstrates very clearly the importance of training using Scenarios.

In this light we are creating a Scenario Based Training for Managers and Directors. The training will be free and attendance will be limited to each event to less than 10 people. When we have the full concept designed and ready for launch we will post the information here as well as on the meetup page.
